Un imigranta mexican pe nume Sandino se afla in cautarea unui loc de munca si inchiriaza o camera la subsolul casei lui April. Matusa incepe sa isi schimbe atitudinea fata de copii si fata de viata, fiind sfatuita de Sandino. Matusa intelege ca trebuie sa renunte la vechiul stil de viata si incepe sa isi faca o familie.
